English Access Microscholarship Program: An Educational Initiative for Students with Disabilities in Tajikistan

On April 1 – 2024, the English Access Microscholarship Program was launched to support students in grades 9-11 with disabilities. This project, funded by the U.S. Embassy, is designed for two years, running from 2024 to 2026. The program aims to make English language learning accessible to all segments of the population, regardless of their abilities.

The organizers of the program believe that everyone has the right to quality education and are making every effort to ensure this right is realized. Lessons take place in the comfortable classrooms of the National Association of Persons with Disabilities of Tajikistan, ensuring convenience and accessibility for students.

Currently, 29 students are enrolled in the program. Thanks to the English Access Microscholarship Program, students have the opportunity to learn English at an advanced level, opening new horizons and future opportunities for them.

Such educational initiatives play a key role in building an inclusive society where everyone has the chance for a successful future. The English Access Microscholarship Program is a vivid example of how international cooperation can contribute to the development and support of young people with disabilities.

Stay tuned for updates and follow the achievements of the students participating in the program to see how education can change lives for the better!
