Checkers Tournament Among Persons with Disabilities in Tajikistan

An Exciting Competition and Inspiring Victories

On May 23, in celebration of Youth Day in Tajikistan, an exciting checkers tournament was held among persons with disabilities. The competition followed the Swiss system, allowing each participant to showcase their best skills.

The event was organized by the National Association of Persons with Disabilities of Tajikistan in collaboration with the Society of the Blind and with financial support from World of Community Development – Dunyoi Rushdi Jomea. The judging panel included Sukhrob Khamdamov, a highly experienced expert in the field, ensuring a high standard of officiating.

A special mention goes to Shabnam Amirkhonova, who defeated 12 opponents and earned a well-deserved overall victory! All participants who placed from first to sixth received valuable prizes from the organizers.
